How to Write Unicode Bangla in Puppy Linux

  • This package contain five (05) file
  • 1. m17n-db-1.5.1-i486.pet
  • 2. m17n-lib-1.5.1-i486.pet
  • 3. scim-1.4.7.i486.pet
  • 4. scim-bridge-0.4.15-i486.pet
  • 5. scim-m17n-0.2.2-i486.pet
  • please install this pet packages serially (1>2>3>4>5)
  • Restart your computer (Restart X Server from shutdown menu)

  • When you start a text editor (Leafpad, Geany or Abiword), rightclick anywhere in the page and select SCIM input system.
  • SCIM will start.
  • It is viewable at the right side of statasbar.
  • Right click on it. Start SCIM setup.
  • On 'Global setup' 'Disable all'.
  • Mark only 'bn-unijoy'.
  • Click 'Apply' and 'Ok'
  • Restart your computer (Restart X Server from shutdown menu).
  • Your Puppy Linux System is ready to write unicode Bangla.
